Social Protection and Food Systems Transformation

This Coalition brings together practitioners, policymakers, and researchers committed to strengthening synergies between food systems and social protection to create a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future. Recognizing that current food systems often fail to ensure access to healthy diets and decent livelihoods—especially for the most vulnerable—our shared goal is to drive transformative change that supports food security, nutrition, and sustainable development. By linking social protection with food systems interventions, we aim to address poverty, malnutrition, and inequality. Through collaboration and knowledge exchange, we explore how integrated policies and programmes can advance progress towards SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) while promoting economic resilience and social inclusion.
