Overview

This offer provides direct support to countries in strengthening local food supply chains through a focus on local production for local consumption. Designed to address national priorities, it includes facilitating scoping missions, identifying key requirements, and mobilizing tailored support to advance food systems transformation as outlined in national pathways. The Resilient Local Food Supply Chains Alliance (The Alliance), a country-led, multi-stakeholder Coalition, drives this initiative. Emerging as a resilience coalition during the United Nations Food Systems Summit in 2021, the Alliance builds on innovative solutions proposed by state and non-state actors to create robust, localized food systems that enhance national resilience.
