Global Touchpoint with National Convenors: Review of UNFSS work of 2024 and preparing for 2025

Format: Two identical sessions. Morning session 8:00 – 9:30 CET (English with interpretation in Arabic, Chinese, and Russian); Afternoon session 16:00 – 17:30 CET (English with interpretation in French and Spanish)
The UN Food Systems Coordination Hub is hosting a Global Touchpoint with National Convenors to provide updates on the work coordinated by the Hub and to have an initial discussion on expectations for the 2nd UN Food Systems Summit Stocktaking Moment (UNFSS+4) in 2025.
This virtual event aims to:
- Share updates on the Hub’s 2024-2026 workplan implementation and flagship initiatives.
- Engage participants in discussions about plans for 2025, including regional meetings and preparations for UNFSS+4.
- Provide space for National Convenors and government officials to ask questions and provide recommendations for enhanced engagement.
The agenda will cover updates on:
- The Convergence Initiative and outcomes from COP29 in Baku
- The Youth Leadership Programme
- The upscale of the Financial Flows to Food Systems (3FS) work
- The Food Systems Window of the UN Joint SDG Fund
- Support for national pathway operationalization and ongoing dialogues
- Work on corporate accountability
Participation:
The Global Touchpoint is open to:
- National Food Systems Convenors and their teams
- Government officials
- Staff of UN Agencies supporting the Hub
- UN Resident Coordinators and UN country teams
