COP29: Signing Ceremony of the Letter of Intent for Scaling Up the 3FS Tool

20/11/2024

3FS Signing Ceremony

20 November, 11:00 - 11:45 (Baku / GMT+4) - Food and Agriculture Pavilion, Blue Zone, Area E (pavilions), Space F11b. Limited spots available.

A Letter of Intent between the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the World Bank – supported by the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub (the Hub) – will be signed to advance food systems financing through the expansion of the Financial Flows to Food Systems (3FS) tool. This initiative will extend access to the 3FS tool to 11 partner countries across Africa and Asia, equipping them to track, analyze, and optimize financing and investments for food systems transformation. Developed by IFAD and the World Bank, in collaboration with the Hub, the 3FS tool provides decision-makers and stakeholders with national and global data regarding the scale and scope of food systems financing, supporting impactful decisions and transparency and accountability, and removing a critical obstacle to creating more sustainable, equitable, and resilient food systems for the future.

  • Moderator: Stefanos Fotiou, Director, UN Food Systems Coordination Hub
  • Representatives:
    • Donal Brown, Associate Vice-President, Department for Country Operations, IFAD
    • Saul Morris, Director of Programme Services, GAIN
