Building back better: Lebanon's path to a resilient food system

Lebanon has recently introduced its national food systems transformation pathway, “Building Back Better: The Recovery of a Fragile Food System,” marking a significant milestone in the country's journey towards a more sustainable, resilient and inclusive food system. This roadmap, spanning from 2022 to 2030, draws inspiration from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and integrates expert recommendations and national development strategies.
The pathway serves as a comprehensive guide for policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders, fostering collaborative efforts to address existing challenges and achieve long-term goals. By identifying priority action areas and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), the document provides a framework for tracking progress and ensuring accountability, setting a commendable example for food systems transformation efforts across all regions.
